TWI and the Offshore Energy Technical Group of The Welding Institute are holding a free-to-attend virtual event titled ‘Offshore Wind – Engineering from Sea to Sky’ on 26-27 November 2020.
An online programme of presentations describing the material and structural integrity challenges associated with offshore wind turbines designed and manufactured for a 27-year lifetime. Beginning with decisions taken based on the location of wind farms, talks will combine information on the standards governing design with innovative solutions available to meet the demanding conditions of operation. Design is not just for operation but must include maintenance, re-powering and decommissioning.
