The Energy Systems Catapult will be hosting this webinar on 21st September 2021 to formally launch the project and to discuss some of the initial thoughts we have on how we may provide the Data and Digital Network with the support needed to develop a coherent Offshore Energy Digital and Data Strategy. The project will seek to consider the key themes from the Energy Data Taskforce: Data Visibility; Infrastructure and Assets Visibility; Operation Optimisation; Market Opportunities; and Regulatory considerations, and the specifics of how these apply to the Offshore energy sector.
The principal delivery of the scheme of works will be a report outlining the core principles and recommendations, which will be cocreated with key stakeholders of the project, together with a more detailed indication of how these will be implemented through a prioritised delivery roadmap.
This webinar will be an introduction into how the Offshore Energy Digital and Data Strategy will be run, who the key stakeholders are, and how we initially envision how the EDTF recommendations will be applied to the offshore energy sector, which will need re-working, and where there may need to be alternative recommendations. It will also be an opportunity to provide input or ask any initial questions that you may have to a select panel of key industry stakeholders.
