In response to the COVID-19 crisis, ORE Catapult’s O&M Centre of Excellence (OMCE) established the Operational Contingency Planning Group (OCPG), bringing together key members of the UK Offshore Wind industry to support practical collaboration and action for short to medium-term challenges and impact.

In collaboration with the Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, ORE Catapult invites you to join the upcoming ‘Responding to the Challenges of COVID-19 in Offshore Renewables’ webinar on July 14th 2020.

In this webinar, ORE Catapult’s Hugh Riddell and Callum Maxwell will discuss the organisation’s Operational Contingency Planning Group and our ongoing support to industry during these unprecedented times. The group brings together key members of the UK offshore wind industry to support practical collaboration and action for short to medium-term challenges and impact.

The OCPG set out to identify the common challenges and to represent the industry’s response to Government. As a result, ORE Catapult released a survey designed to identify the practical challenges and impact that the industry is facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the following areas:

  • Business continuity, operations and production impact
  • Reduced scopes of work, business continuity, medium-to-long term impact and business sustainability
  • Supply chain resilience and sustainability
