Data and Digitalisation

Wind Digital Innovations Forum

The wind industry is an abundant producer of big data and sits on the cusp of its own digital revolution.

Spearheading this drive, ORE Catapult is launching the Wind Digital Innovations Forum.

The Forum’s overarching aim is to improve performance and enable better decision-making.

By joining, you will have the chance to influence its policy and participate in projects at the cutting edge of the UK’s digital and energy sectors. Forum members will help to:

  • Strengthen the digital supply chain by reaching and promoting industry consensus on digital innovation priorities, then incubating emerging digital technologies and companies.
  • Generate wind industry digital innovation projects by identifying data driven challenges, addressing them through pilot projects and sharing the results.
  • Share knowledge and expertise across the digital and renewable energy spaces by supporting standardisation and sharing ideas/skills/data along the way.
  • Forge relationships as we connect disruptive digital businesses and thought leaders with wind industry data owners and operators.

Focus Areas

Priority areas for the Forum’s work in its first year will be to develop a digital transformation roadmap and cybersecurity standards for the UK wind industry, as well as launching real-world data integration studies and a Disruptive Digital Technology Taskforce to incubate market entrants.

Launch Event

Join us at the Forum’s launch event in London on Wednesday 25th September to find out more about the Forum’s aims and how you can become a member. You’ll hear from industry speakers and get chance to network with players from across the digital and renewable energy spaces.
