Amy graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA Hons in Russian Studies in 2001. Part of her studies and research for her dissertation were completed at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), an academic institution run by the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Over the next decade, she worked in communications and marketing roles in Moscow, including at the Association of European Businesses in the Russian Federation and cybersecurity developer Kaspersky Lab. At AIDS Foundation East-West (AFEW), she coordinated communications activities across nine countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, focussing upon health and human rights projects in the region’s prisons and healthcare systems.
Since returning to the UK, she has worked as part of AXA Insurance’s digital marketing team with a B2B and media relations brief. She has also undertaken a variety of freelance translation and content creation projects with a Russian focus.
Amy joined ORE Catapult in March 2019 and is responsible for managing and coordinating communications for the organisation’s diverse project portfolio.
