Lynsey joined ORE Catapult in October 2016 after completing a Postgraduate MSc in Sustainable Engineering: Renewable Energy Systems and the Environment at the University of Strathclyde. Having previously worked in the subsea oil and gas industry in a number of roles as Mechanical Engineer since 2008, the renewable energy qualification served as a stepping stone into this new industry.

Lynsey has experience in the delivery of subsea control systems along with the mechanical design of well access systems. This involved equipment such as pressure/temperature sensors, flow meters, electrical/hydraulic distribution, control modules, valves and pressure vessels. Lynsey was responsible for these work packs from project approval stage right through to delivery as well as throughout the service phase.

A great deal of Lynsey’s experience is relevant to offshore renewable projects due to the similarities in operating conditions between the two industries.
