This project investigated the requirements for a best practice guide into the monitoring of the operational condition of offshore wind substructures by conducting interviews with operational asset managers. There was consensus from feedback gained from Asset Managers of operational offshore wind assets that the lack of a standardised operational guide hampered industry learning and solution development.
ORE Catapult teamed up with The Crown Estate to fund a project that enabled Engineers from ORE Catapult to interview Asset Managers to gain a better understanding of the operational issues they faced and how best practice could be developed to solve those issues.
A report was produced identifying areas that could benefit from the development of best practice guidance.
