The Team

We lead the operation of the largest concentration of multi-purpose offshore renewable energy technology testing and demonstration facilities in the world. Our facilities – and highly experienced, multi disciplinary team of testing experts and engineers – help to prove and de-risk promising new technologies and bring them to market.

Tony Quinn

Test & Validation Director

Tony joined ORE Catapult after the merger with Narec, where he had been Operations Director since August 2012, with responsibility for business delivery within the new and existing facilities, as well as completing the investment programme and Director of Major Projects and Assets since March 2010.

Tony has held senior positions within Nexus (owner operator of Tyne and Wear Metro system) and PB Power as Asset Management Director and Project Director respectively. He has fulfilled the roles of client, consultant and contractor and has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of power generation from large fossil fuelled, gas fired combined cycle through to energy from waste plants.

Tony is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
