Ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference, COP26, scheduled to take place in Glasgow in November, Newcastle University and the North of Tyne Combined Authority have joined forces to host the region’s inaugural Green Economy Summit.
By bringing together global experts, industry and, public and social sector leaders who are already driving change, the aim of this event is to explore how our region can lead the charge towards Net Zero and an economy powered by clean jobs and growth. It will showcase our world class R&D, testing and manufacturing expertise alongside our plans for the future of communities and places, and the ways in which we can create jobs, skills and engagement opportunities for a truly inclusive transition.
