Project background and opportunities for SMEs
The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult is the UK’s flagship technology innovation and research centre. As a result of a £6m investment project, partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, we are now upgrading our research infrastructure by installing one of the world’s most advanced Grid Emulation Systems, eGrid, at the National Renewable Energy Centre in Blyth.
As a result of the installation, the eGrid platform and associated support services from ORE Catapult are now available to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the region in order to enhance opportunities for research, development and demonstration activities across the wind, wave and tidal sectors. Other industries, such as solar PV and energy storage, can also access the system and support services.
Join us for this free event to discover more about the eGrid programme, speak to our experts and discover how your business can benefit from exclusive access to a world-leading facility, business support services and technical specialists.
