ORE Catapult Speakers

ORE Catapult Pavilion #160

We are proud to be supporting game-changing SMEs: those companies delivering inspiring innovation to the offshore renewables industry.

At ORE Catapult, helping high-growth UK SMEs to scale-up and commercialise their technology is at the heart of our mission. We provide expertise and advice with world-leading facilities and facilitate access to industry and funders, to develop, de-risk and support the journey of bringing new technologies to market.

Below are the game-changing SMEs that we are hosting on our stand this year:

Bitbloom

Bitbloom empowers wind farm owners and operators to squeeze every bit of value from their data. Through our range of proprietary software and services for data analytics, scientific computation and application development, we aim to unleash innovation in the wind sector and support the sector’s people and projects in fulfilling their potential

BladeBUG

BladeBUG develops advanced robots to assist technicians in the inspection and repair of wind turbines, without the need for rope access. Our innovative automation and robotics aim to bring about safe, scalable growth of the wind industry for all.

EchoBolt

Echobolt is a leading provider of fastener inspection services in the wind energy sector. Our aim is to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce operational costs by transitioning to an effective condition based approach for bolted joints.

Frontier Technical

Frontier Technical is a UK-based SME developing MARLIN MODULAR floating energy systems:

  • Configurable ‘custom-designs’ for isolated locations
  • ISO Containerised transport
  • SUBSEA TUG underwater construction.

Energy transfer shuttle for cost effective offshore 5G communications; coastal community energy access; autonomous vehicle recharging; environmental monitoring; and defence and security.

Ilosta

Using our patented, non-contact, inspection technology (Crack Map™) Ilosta improves the quality, and accuracy of structural health monitoring. Our digitised approach uses a combination of fracture mechanics and AI to predict damage volumetric profile. This reduces cost, timescales, and risks associated with current solutions, extending your assets lifespan.

JET Engineering System Solutions

Launched in 2020, JET Engineering System Solutions is delivering 5G communications networks and data collection for remote, offshore environments to enable safe and secure, sustainable, smart operations.

Kinewell Energy

Our KLOC inter-array cable layout optimisation technology reduces cost by around 20% of cable CAPEX. KLOC can be licensed for in-house client use, or we offer consultancy where our team’s experience is >13 GW.

We are leaders in developing lifetime cost optimisation solutions using advanced mathematical and artificial intelligence techniques.

Masterfilter

MasterFilter is an innovative and patented system that keeps both hydraulic and lubricating oils ultra clean. This translates to a step change reduction in mechanical wear to bearings, gearboxes and pitch and yaw controls. Our unit can easily and quickly be retrofitted to any turbine.

Renewable Parts

Specialises in supply chain management for the wind energy industry, sourcing, storing, and delivering parts and consumables for turbine owners, operators, and maintenance providers across the UK and Europe.

The company is a sustainability leader in the industry, actively working with partners including suppliers and academia, like the University of Strathclyde, to create a greener supply chain and introducing circular economy practices into the wind energy industry.
