Launch Academy is ORE Catapult’s national technology accelerator programme for the offshore wind industry, specifically designed to enhance the UK’s offshore wind supply chain, enable greater UK content and support cost reduction through innovation.
The programme provides the complete ecosystem to support the development of ambitious companies commercialising new products and services in the sector. ORE Catapult brings technology development and business support under one roof, allowing companies to access its own in-house technical capabilities alongside a range of business growth expertise and support from external delivery partners.
Launch Academy is supported by industrial and business support specialists including three sponsoring offshore wind developers, investment body Sustainable Ventures, accountancy firm BDO, IP specialists Murgitroyd, law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, EDI experts Inclusive Employers, and the social enterprise marketing agency Stronger Stories.
Launch Academy will open the doors for applications to join its fourth cohort on the 1st of November. Companies will have the opportunity to respond to a variety of technology challenges set by our industrial sponsors or apply with an Open Category.
