The Technology, Innovation and Green Growth for Offshore Renewables (TIGGOR) programme has been established to support North of Tyne and wider North East-based businesses operating in, or seeking to enter, the offshore renewables market.

Who delivers the Technology Demonstration Support strand of TIGGOR?

Technology Demonstration Support will be delivered by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, EDF Renewables and Equinor, for businesses in the North of Tyne region.

Businesses can access technology assessment, advice and potential funding in areas including (but not exluded to):

• O&M, Reliability Optimisation and AI, Next Generation Subcomponents – Novel component designs for floating wind, novel sensors, novel materials, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques, enhanced SCADA a data failure mode detection etc.
• Smart O&M Robotics – Autonomous Surface Vessels, Remotely Operated Vehicles, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles etc.
• Data and Digital Twins – Component level and wind farm level system’s analysis
• Open Category – Cable monitoring and protection, hybrid smart energy systems
