The TIGGOR programme has been established to support the acceleration of businesses in the North of Tyne and wider North East England region. Funded primarily by the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA), the programme is designed to boost supply chain growth and productivity in the region’s burgeoning offshore wind and subsea sectors, as well as encourage market entrance of companies that currently do not operate in these industries.

The programme is made up of two key strands that businesses can apply for: Technology Demonstration Support and Business Growth Support.

The TIGGOR programme aims to maximise future commercial investment in the supply chain via a technology demonstration programme to de-risk future investment. Technology demonstration support will provide businesses with technology assessment, advice and potential funding in the following areas*:

Business growth support will provide specialist innovation advice, market intelligence and business planning for organisations operating in the offshore energy sectors and those looking to enter the market. Access to other supply chain programmes currently run by ORE Catapult will also be incorporated, including:
WEST is a needs-focused business improvement programme providing offshore wind domain expertise and business support. Devised by the OWGP, it is a short intervention activity that provides 2–5 days of expert consultancy support to companies distributed over a number of weeks.
F4OR is a unique service to help the UK supply chain get ready to bid for work in the offshore renewable energy sector. It works with capable, competent and competitive UK supply chain companies to support their entry and growth in the offshore renewable energy industry. It uses a proven process which typically takes 12 to 18 months.
Launch Academy is a technology accelerator programme for the offshore wind industry, focusing on near to market solutions. The programme provides technology development and business support, offering legal, marketing, accountancy, IP, HR and investor readiness support as well as modules delivered by ORE Catapult such as technology assessment, export market introductions, supply chain readiness and business case review.
