The programmes here at ORE Catapult are business improvement programmes that are designed to support UK businesses looking for development and to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the growth in offshore renewables around the world.

 

Though innovation is at the heart of these programmes, each one has a unique approach and tackles a different challenge in the industry. As well as supply chain programmes, we also deliver programmes that advise the sector in defining the industry’s innovation priorities, whether that’s providing a benchmark or providing roadmaps. LAUNCH ACADEMY PROGRAMME

With both national and regional programmes, Launch Academy is an award-winning supply chain support programme that focuses on near-to-market solutions and is supported by industrial and business support specialists. The bespoke nine-month programme sees the cohort of companies being given access to a unique package of support from the delivery partners, including legal, marketing, accountancy, IP, and investor readiness support.

FIT 4 OFFSHORE RENEWABLES (F4OR)

Our Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme is a unique service to help the UK supply chain get ready to bid for work in the offshore renewable energy sector. It is a journey of business improvement and sector specific capability building, using a proven process that typically takes 12 to 18 months. Companies are guided and supported through each step by expert advisors, but to ensure that changes firmly take root, each company must also dedicate significant resource.

TIGGOR

The TIGGOR (Technology, Innovation & Green Growth for Offshore Renewables) programme is a regional accelerator model set to continue to 2025 with extended funding from the North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA). The supply chain programme aims to maximise future commercial investment in the supply chain via technology demonstration support in order to de-risk future investment.

OFFSHORE WIND GROWTH PARTNERSHIP

The OWGP (Offshore Wind Growth Partnership) is funded by the offshore wind industry and delivered by our team. It provides support to supply chain companies to enable them to grow and increase their competitiveness. Support includes access to direct funding and a range of services such as expert advice on manufacturing and commercialisation as well as funding for innovation.

OFFSHORE WIND INNOVATION HUB (OWIH)

The Offshore Wind Innovation Hub is the UK’s primary coordinator for innovation, focusing on offshore wind energy cost reduction and maximizing UK economic impact. The hub presents UK offshore wind innovation priorities, supply chain growth opportunities and a comprehensive view of the funding landscape.

SPARTA

SPARTA (System Performance, Availability and Reliability Trend Analysis) is a joint industry programme established in 2015 by us, and supported by The Crown Estate. The programme is the world’s only benchmarking platform,  and uses anonymised performance data to increase reliability of wind turbine operations.

FLOWB

FLOWB is a strategic Floating Wind Supply Chain Acceleration Programme led by ORE Catapult in conjunction with Innovate UK. FLOWB is helping UK Entities to establish links and commercial opportunities in the United States and helping to accelerate the research and development phases of their Floating Offshore Wind Supply Chain technologies.
