We operate the world’s most comprehensive research, test, innovation and validation services to accelerate the deployment of new and innovative offshore renewable energy technology.
Our facilities allow for the de-risking needed to drive significant investment into the offshore renewables sector, both in the form of wind farm construction financing and inward investment for UK manufacturing facilities.
National Renewable Energy Centre, Blyth
Our National Renewable Energy Centre in Blyth is a concentration of leading expertise and infrastructure dedicated to the acceleration of new and innovative offshore renewable energy technology. It is also an integral part of the UK’s national infrastructure for offshore renewable energy.
Floating Wind Innovation Centre, Aberdeen
Our Aberdeen facility is the UK’s first innovation centre focused purely on the development of floating offshore wind. The state-of-the-art facility, called FLOWIC, allows companies to test their products in a safe environment, as it replicates the conditions they will face out in the deeper waters suited to floating offshore wind.
Levenmouth Demonstration Turbine, Fife
