LAUNCH ACADEMY
Launch Academy is our flagship technology accelerator programme, designed to enhance the UK’s offshore wind supply chain, enable greater UK content and support cost reduction by identifying innovative solutions to real industry problems.
It accelerates innovative technology development by removing barriers to commercialisation. The award-winning programme focuses on near-to-market solutions and supports the successful cohort of companies with industrial and business support specialists.
There are several programmes launched under the banner of Launch Academy, and they are:
National Launch Academy
Launch Academy Scotland
East of England Launch Academy
North East Launch Academy
NATIONAL LAUNCH ACADEMY
Run annually, this is a UK-wide programme that provides targeted technology development, business growth and professional services support and expertise to ten SMEs developing innovations for the offshore wind industry over a period of nine months. Launch Academy is driven by challenges or themes provided by industry sponsors and provides value by delivering a diverse variety of “modules” to successful cohort companies.
LA SCOTLAND
Businesses in Scotland will soon be able to apply for our award-winning technology accelerator programme, Launch Academy, so submit your interest to be notified when applications are open.
LA EAST OF ENGLAND
The Launch Academy East of England is a regional programme where companies across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex can embark on a journey to pioneer new products and services for the UK’s offshore renewable energy sector. 2023 was the first time we ran the flagship Launch Academy programme in the East of England – a region that is one of the UK’s largest offshore renewable energy hubs.
