Wales Innovation in Marine Monitoring Competition

The Wales Innovation in Marine Monitoring Competition aims to provide targeted support and remove barriers to encourage marine monitoring businesses to enter the UK offshore wind supply chain, enabling the development of Irish and Celtic Sea offshore renewable projects.

Through specialist advice, access to workshop development and onshore and offshore pilot testing, this business transformation opportunity aims to support SMEs to validate and de-risk their innovation marine environment monitoring technologies.

The Wales Innovation in Marine Monitoring Competition is funded by the Swansea City Bay Deal and delivered by our Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence (MEECE).

           

 

Is your company applicable?

To apply your company must/must be:

  • A UK registered business
  • A micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
  • Active or growing your work activities in the marine and maritime innovation cluster in Wales
  • Have a demonstrable ambition for business growth
  • Provide monetary and/or in-kind contribution to the total project costs
  • Make only one submission to this funding call per company
  • Show a clear intent to diversify their business into offshore wind or demonstrate existing capability in the sector.
  • Can clearly articulate their desire to enter / grow their presence in the offshore wind market.
  • Understand their own needs and deficiencies as a business and have a proactive attitude to business improvement and constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrate how the intervention would impact their business and the additionality it would provide by having identified needs met.

  • Un cyflwyniad yn unig i’r alwad ariannu hon fesul cwmni
  • Busnes sy’n dangos bwriad clir i arallgyfeirio i ynni gwynt ar y môr neu ddangos ei allu presennol yn y sector
  • Busnes sy’n gallu mynegi’n glir ei awydd i ymuno / tyfu ei bresenoldeb yn y farchnad ynni gwynt ar y môr
  • Busnes sy’n deall ei anghenion a’i ddiffygion ei hun fel busnes ac sy’n meddu ar agwedd ragweithiol tuag at wella busnes ac adborth adeiladol
  • Busnes sy’n gallu dangos sut y byddai’r ymyriad yn effeithio arno a’r hyn y byddai’n ei gynnig yn ychwanegol ar ôl diwallu’r anghenion a nodir
