The Renewable Energy Emergency Forum was established under the authority of Renewable UK to develop the renewable industry’s procedures to respond to incidents; such advice was published within the Integrated Offshore Emergency Response – Renewables (IOER-R). The republishing of the G+ Integrated Offshore Emergency Response (IOER) as a global document under G+ authority has led to a requirement for a reformed REEF.
This report provides the results from Exercise Sancho. The aim of Exercise Sancho, the 2022 TRIREX UK exercise, was “To test industry and the emergency service’s emergency arrangements and procedures in response to a significant offshore renewables emergency”. It is hoped that lessons identified through Exercise Sancho will support the development and improvement of emergency arrangements across the industry, both in the UK and overseas.
