As a customer or client, making the right supply chain connections is crucial to delivering successful projects.

This is no less important in the developing marine renewable energy sector where partnerships are more embryonic in their nature than the established offshore wind and oil & gas supply chains.

The Marine Energy Supply Chain Gateway (MESCG) is the UK’s database of organisations providing services and support to the marine renewable energy industry. The portal evolved from early development work by Regen supported by RenewableUK.  It provides a practical, searchable resource that aligns regional supplier databases into a cohesive one-stop shop of supply chain capabilities.

RenewableUK is proud to be a partner of the MESCG together with Scottish Enterprise, the Welsh Government, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Invest Northern Ireland and Regen with the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, which owns and manages the gateway. The partners provide UK-wide coverage and integrity to ensure that the database is current and focussed.

The gateway can be accessed via ORE Catapult’s website and organisations who wish to be a suppler on the site can register with their relevant regional partner. More details of RenewableUK’s marine energy work, including insights into our project intelligence hub, elements of which we plan to integrate with the gateway, are available on our website. Visit our stand or other MESCG partners stand at RenewableUK’s Wave & Tidal 2018 conference to find out more about the gateway.
