About the Event

This webinar will be an opportunity to hear from the Launch Academy delivery team and sponsors to better understand the programme, its technology challenges & themes, and the application process. The event will also provide a change to ask questions.

Launch Academy 6 is ORE Catapult’s flagship accelerator for offshore wind innovation, designed to support a cohort of up to 10 high-growth UK SMEs developing technologies typically between TRLs 4–6 (not exclusively). The programme helps to fast-track technology and commercial development for the Offshore Wind sector and connects innovators directly with leading offshore wind developers, Scottish Power Renewables, JERA Nex bp and EDF Power Solutions, to address real industry challenges, de-risk investment, and accelerate technologies towards commercial deployment.

Launch Academy has opened the doors for applications to join its sixth national cohort. Applications are open until 25th March 2026 following which shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their technology. For the 10 SMEs awarded a place on the programme, 12 months of structured support will begin in May 2026. Companies have the opportunity to respond to a variety of technology challenges set by our industrial sponsors or apply with an Open Category.
