About the Event:

Onshore Wind Conference 2026, co-hosted with Scottish Renewables in Edinburgh on 1 – 2 September brings together all the major players shaping this next phase of onshore wind’s development, from policymakers and developers to investors and the supply chain, offering an unmissable opportunity to connect, collaborate, and influence the industry’s future direction.

With the de-facto ban in England lifted and the UK’s Clean Power 2030 Action Plan driving rapid growth, the onshore wind sector is a key driving force in the UK achieving our net zero targets. Following last year’s sold out event, this iteration promises to be even bigger. This is a critical moment for the UK sector and defines how it will deliver on our onshore wind ambitions.

As ambitions accelerate across the UK and Scotland, the onshore wind sector faces growing pressure to scale up the workforce, supply chain and industrial capability needed to support long-term delivery. From manufacturing and local content, to refurbishment, decommissioning and skills development, the sector is increasingly focused on how to build resilient supply chains capable of supporting growth beyond 2030. This session will explore the opportunities and challenges involved in developing a strong domestic onshore wind supply chain. Speakers will examine how industry, government and local communities can work together to strengthen the future workforce, attract investment and maximise the long-term economic and industrial value of onshore wind in Scotland and across the UK.
