Claire joined the Catapult in October 2017. She is the Programme Manager for the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership.  Her key responsibilities involve developing and delivering programmes that will enable UK offshore wind supply chain companies to grow and become more competitive.  Prior to this, Claire was the Project Development Manager within ORE Catapult’s Operational Performance directorate; identifying innovative technologies, products and services with the potential to reduce the costs of operating offshore wind farms and contribute to economic growth.

Claire has recently completed her Engineering Doctorate with the Industrial Doctoral Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy (IDCORE). As part of this 4-year programme, Claire worked on an industrial research project at EDF Energy, investigating the effects of corrosion and biofouling on offshore wind monopile foundations. Claire also has a BSc in Marine and Environmental Biology from the University of St Andrews, and a MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity from the University of Exeter.

Claire has a broad range of skills in data analysis, project design and management, and a deep understanding of marine environmental topics related to offshore wind development. Claire is deeply passionate about the UK offshore wind sector and supporting UK businesses to grow and develop in the supply chain.
