As part of our NEOWIND supply chain support and technology demonstration programme, the Innovation Development Fund is intended to support businesses researching and developing new technologies for the offshore wind sector, in alignment with the thematic priorities established by the NEOWIND programme partners.

The fund offers grants ranging from £150,000 to £300,000, which can be used to cover between 25% and 60% of eligible project costs depending on the type of project and organisation size.

This competition is open to companies registered in North East England and operating in, or with a clear desire to operate in the offshore renewable energy sector.
