The Fit 4 Offshore Renewables Journey

In order to become more competitive in the offshore renewables industry, Tyne Gangway took part in the Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme as part of a cohort of businesses in the North East of England region. Assessment was made and support provided across the programme’s two key strands – the first, focused on core business management systems, and the second, focused on key competences required for success in the offshore renewable energy industry.

The programme has given greater sector knowledge and understanding of what it takes to work within the offshore wind industry. Following the F4OR programme has enabled us to define our working processes, procedures, and communication throughout the business and we continue to do so.

Business Success

Many opportunities were created and some of them converted to orders; the company claims they are delighted with the outcome of this process and the success we have achieved thus far.

The Future

Support from the F4OR programme places Tyne Gangway (Structures) Ltd on a strong competitive footing to win more work in the offshore renewable energy industry. It will enable the company to tender for offshore wind projects with confidence, attending future offshore wind events and becoming a more active member of the industry.
