BLEEP: Reducing the Cost Impacts of Wind Turbine Blade Erosion

One of the main issues facing the offshore wind industry is blade leading edge erosion (LEE), which can occur in a little as two years of operation and can affect the performance and structural integrity of wind turbines. ORE Catapult’s Blade Leading Edge Erosion Programme (BLEEP) is coordinating research to improve understanding on how to manage and prevent this issue to reduce the cost of energy impacts by facilitating collaboration between industry and the research community.
