Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence – Mooring and Anchoring Project Outcomes and Expected ‘Size of the Prize’ (Webinar)

Website visit Address Online Start December 16, 2021 - 10:00 am End December 16, 2021 -11:30 am
The Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) recently completed a study on mooring and anchoring systems.

This project, supported by First Marine Solutions and Morek, investigated the design requirements for mooring and anchoring systems in UK FOW projects and carried out a state-of-the-art market review. The project also assessed the future demand for components and services out to 2050, and the readiness of the supply chain to deliver against this. The work was introduced at a previous webinar held earlier in 2021.

To coincide with the release of the public report ‘FOW Mooring and Anchoring Market Projections’ the FOW CoE would like to share the project outcomes with the supply chain and wider industry, and to provide an overview of the follow-on project work planned which is a technology development and qualification programme.

This session will be delivered by Ellen Jump, Project Engineer and Alistair Lee, Moorings Engineer – ORE Catapult; and they will be joined by David Keane, Offshore Wind Engineering Team Lead at ESB. David will provide some insight from a developer and project partner perspective on the key findings of this work. The session will conclude with a panel Q&A.
Attend this webinar to learn more about the outcomes of the recently completed FOW CoE project on mooring and anchoring systems, particularly the projected demand on the supply chain for components and services from now to 2050. Also learn more about the planned future technology qualification workstreams.
