Our ORE Catapult Pavilion:

Our #CatapultPavilion is returning again this year! We’re hosting ten innovative SMEs who are bringing their technology to the offshore wind sector.

Meet the SMEs:

Indeximate

  • Indeximate helps prevent failure of subsea power cables by exploiting fibre optic sensing to understand the integrity of cables and the state of their environment. We provide risk profiles for abrasion, fatigue, vibration, exposure, electrical and mechanical integrity etc. This informs on remaining life. Clients use this information to decide on preventative maintenance strategies to stabilise against weakness and extend the life of cables.

Auxetec

  • Auxetec is developing, and commercialising auxetic polymer technology invented within the University of Leeds. The proprietary technology represents the ground-breaking discovery of the world’s first auxetic, Liquid Crystal Elastomers at the molecular level. Unlike conventional materials our polymers thicken when stretched representing a completely new class of elastomers.

Quoceant

  • Quoceant are engineering consultants specialising in offshore renewables and technology innovation. We are also the developers of Q-Connect: a marine quick connection and disconnection system for moorings and subsea cables.

Exo Engineering

  • Exo Engineering designs and manufactures nature inclusive products that protect marine infrastructure whilst providing reef habitats that improve biodiversity. Through our bespoke design process, we can meet the ecological, regulatory, and engineering requirements of specific projects, helping our clients achieve their sustainability targets and mitigate environmental impacts.

Myriad Wind

  • Myriad Wind Energy Systems is an award-winning startup developing the Myriad Turbine – a truly modular utility-scale wind turbine. The Myriad Turbine uses numerous standardised 250kW generating units supported on a modular support structure to achieve vast reductions in the levelised cost of energy.

Pict

  • Pict Offshore develops, builds, sells and supports innovative access, lifting and height safety solutions for the offshore wind energy sectorThe ‘Get Up Safe’ system, is a heave-compensated, personnel hoist aimed at transforming the way that maintenance technicians access offshore wind turbines.

Apollo Engineering

  • We are the leading energy advisory and engineering consultancy enabling our clients achieve their net zero ambitions across the project lifecycle.Working across oil and gas, hydrogen and carbon capture, nuclear, and offshore renewables, our dynamic people work as trusted partners with client teams assuring project value and success for their business.

Airspection

  • Airspection is providing reliable and safe drone services for offshore infrastructure. We launch our tough drones from accessible locations such as shore or SOVs, fly to the remote infrastructure and hover in tough weather to provide inspections, eye-in-the-sky, and last-minute logistics. Improving safety, efficiency, and environment impact of your operations.

AAC Clydespace

  • AAC Clyde Space, a leading New Space company, specialises in small satellite technologies and services that enable businesses, governments, and educational organisations to access high-quality, timely data from space. This data has a vast range of applications, from weather forecasting to precision farming to environmental monitoring, and is essential to improving our quality of life on Earth.

Acuity Robotics

  • Acuity Robotics is a spin-out of the University of Leeds Real Robotics laboratory at the National Facility for Innovative Robotic Systems, one of the world’s leading robotics universities. We have world-class expertise in the delivery of remote data capture and analysis on metallic structures using the world’s smallest untethered robots.
