Dai is the Academic Engagement Manager for ORE Catapult, in which he helps manage our relationships with leading academics working in the broad fields that are encompassed within the offshore sector.
After studying for his Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical & Marine Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University he then undertook a Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Structural Materials at Swansea University as part of the Rolls Royce UTC in Materials.
He worked as a Post-doctoral Research Assistant within the Rolls Royce UTC working with cutting edge materials research, before moving to Edwards Vacuum where he was employed as a Senior Development Engineer in New Product Development learning a great deal about product development and commercialisation.
In 2021 I joined ORE Catapult as an Innovation Manager as part of the MEECE project helping SMEs develop new products to support the ORE sector. I am a STEM ambassador and like to get involved in educating renewables experts of the future.
