Welcoming the launch of the Government’s Innovation Strategy setting out a long-term vision for delivering innovation-led growth in the UK, Andrew Jamieson, Chief Executive of the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, said:

Partnering with companies like GE Renewable Energy to bring their game-changing Haliade-X offshore wind turbine to market, and supporting hundreds of UK SMEs to develop new technologies and services, is creating thousands of jobs across the country, growing our local supply chains, lowering the cost of energy and accelerating our transition to a low-carbon economy”.
